stairwells and service risers.
EKS-1
Shaft Wall Lining
EL-KHAYYAT shaft wall linings enclose lift shafts, service risers and stair cores, and are also used wherever a wall can
only be erected and boarded from one side. They are normally specified as fire-rated construction. EKS-1 uses
J-tracks with CH-studs and E-studs: shaft liner core boards slide into the open side of the CH-stud facing the shaft,
while FR or FRMR boards are screw-fixed to the corridor face.
